Why You Shouldn’t Exercise With Makeup On

While we want to look our best at all times, wearing makeup while working out can actually do more harm than good.

Skin Breaks Out Easily
Pores expand and skin temperature increases during exercises, which cause makeup, oil and sweat to clog pores easily and lead to whiteheads and pimples. Bad quality makeup might also contain heavy metals and preservatives. Leaving traces of makeup on your skin would only make its condition worse.

Don’t Skip Makeup Removal just because You’re too Tired
We know how hard it is to go to the gym without wearing any makeup, especially when you just got off from work and don’t want to run into anybody. To avoid damaging skin, take off your makeup as soon as you finish working out. Even if you only wear sunscreen while you’re out for a run, it’s essential to cleanse your face thoroughly after so no traces get left behind. The same rule applies to wearing makeup. Don’t forget to remove your makeup!
