Healthy Living: Bamboo Shoots and Cheese Quiche Recipe

Craving for something rich, wholesome, yet healthy? This Bamboo Shoots and Cheese Quiche recipe is perfect for you. High in dietary fiber, you won’t have to worry about the calories!

Ingredients (for 4 people) Needed:

150g cooked bamboo shoots
5g dried wakame, sliced
1/2 piece (50g) French Camembert cheese
1 teaspoon minced Garlic
3 eggs
1/3 teaspoon salt
Pinch of black pepper
1 ½ teaspoon olive oil
3 spoons of milk
A pinch of salt and black pepper

Approximately 140 kcal/1 person


1. Cut the tip of bamboo shoots into half and slice thinly. Chop the roots into thin slices. Soak the wakame into a bowl of water and let it dry until use. Heat the pan with 1 teaspoon of olive oil over light fire. Saute garlic until it's golden. Add bamboo and wakame. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.

2. Beat the eggs and add in the ingredients from session A. Take ⅔ portion of bamboo shoots and wakame from the pan and mix them with the egg mixture.

3. Heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat and pour the egg mixture (2) in. After the egg is half-set, add the camembert cheese and the rest of bamboo shoots and wakame. Put the lid on and cook over light heat for 3-4 minutes.
